Experimental Publication Design for a hypothetical exhibition within a gallery space.
Agni Saara is a concept exhibition catalogue for TARQ, an art gallery based in Bombay. This was a classroom project for Publication Design during Year 2 at design school.
This book is dominated thematically by the intersection between yoga, tantra, and nature. Emulating the pace that a yogic practice embodies, the slow oscillation between consciousness and unconsciousness—this publication contains a pastiche of visual and textual sequences.
GuideSandesh GaundalkarElements feeling rooted and corporal, a man, a woman, a tree and a planet—are interspersed with text and image, in sequence and arbitrary, akin to the experience of just simple breathing in and out—non-linear.Warps, wefts, and geometric cuts and joints were drawn to create a visual style that spoke to a vernacular, almost tribal voice of the exhibits, capturing the artworks of artists' displays.
