Illustrations and graphics for ‘Bus Day’ celebrations in Chennai.
Visuals created for Madras’s ‘Bus Day’ as a part of a course on Advanced Graphics. The brief was to create a visual for the front and back of a square card that emulates the familiar bustle of local city buses through illustrations, text, and other graphic elements.
GuideSolaiappan RThe card features ephemeral totems like as Drishti Bommai and Elumichai Milagai, which are commonplace sightings on a local Tamilnadu bus.
The bus conductor, the protagonist, is first sketched out, in an act of tossing the bus tickets towards the viewer. The rest of the scene is then digitally illustrated and constructed.
