Basics of clay and pottery
Clay was a medium I never expected to stumble upon during college, but thankfully did. As a part of our elective courses, Clay spanned less than 2 weeks but was power-packed with playing with form, composition, material, and techniques. It took many hours of trial and error to perfect the consistency, swiftness, pressure, and tool to make our pieces. The final exhibition spanned 100+ pieces produced by just a couple of us who took up the elective.

The above illustrations were commissioned to me as a part of the exhibition invite. They took the form of flyers and banners around the campus.

The touch of hand, felt through the imperfect grooves and wedges made using the coiling, pinching, and slab-building methods.

Understanding the temperament of this medium, like any other, through trial and error and reactivity.
